Four perish in Cow Street accident

Four students have lost their lives following a fatal collision with a stationary trailer at Cow Street Bamenda in the early hours of Friday, February 27.

The bike rider supposedly on high-speed, run into the trailer. The driver reportedly died on the spot while the others gave up the ghost shortly after they reached the hospital.

The victims were reportedly drunk as they had spent the entire day drinking across town. One of them was found with a cheque of over a million FCFA which is currently in police custody.

According to reports, two of the victims were related and the bike rider was a close friend. The fourth victim a lady was the girlfriend to one of the cousins. The cousins had made a huge success with a scam and had gone out to celebrate with friends.

The accident according to some residents of the neighbourhood occurred around 4 am in the morning. Some residents say similar accidents involving bikes often occur at the same spot on the street.

It was also revealed that, the girl had sneaked from her boarding house at school only to meet her untimely death.
