Security concerns in the Central African Republic ahead of the up-coming general elections was at the centre of discussion between the Minister of External Relations and the French Ambassador to Cameroon, Her Excellency Christine Robichon, yesterday August 11, 2015 when Minister Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo granted her close to two-hour audience.
Christine Robichon told reporters after the audience that the humanitarian crisis caused by the Boko Haram terrorist attacks is also preoccupying with suggestions for a new refugee camp to be erected in Minawao, in the Far North Region.
The French diplomat revealed that the President of the Security Council in a statement has condemned the Boko Haram insurgencies and saluted Lake Chad Basin Commission countries for setting up a Multinational Joint Task Force to combat the terrorist group. She also rejoiced that African Union is mobilising donors to support the Force which will soon go operational.
