Francophone digital campuses reinforce achievements

The work of the 5th national Board of direction of the francophone digital campuses of Cameroon was held Monday, December 8, 2014 in Douala.

Assembled in the Campus of doctoral schools, Akwa, participants were interested in the results of the actions and activities of the francophone digital campuses in the country, specifically on the actions of the Campus Numérique francophone of Ngaoundéré, host of the last seating.

The Rector of the University of Ngaoundéré, Pr Paul Henri Amvam Zollo, presented a rich activity report; "harmonious project mapping, Petrology and Metallogeny of some granites mineralized at the Centre / Northern Cameroon and Central / southwest of Chad.

This is a project funded with 92,000 Euros by the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (Auf). As the Director of the Office Central Africa and Great Lakes of the Auf, the Pr Alain Odun, recalled the birth of the francophone digital centre in Douala which set up a tripartite partnership between the University of Douala, french Cameroon Institute and the Organization of which it is one of the leaders.

The main objective of the Douala meeting was to make the Francophone digital campus in Cameroon the showcase of the Auf in the different host countries as they relay all its opportunities and are responsible for the follow-up of projects supported by the Agency.

At the end of the sitting on 8 December, the francophone digital campuses of Cameroon defined orientations for the next two years. The Agence universitaire de la Francophonie deployed a network of francophone digital campuses providing both training and dissemination of scientific and technical information on activities in Cameroon.

A global association of Francophone universities was designed to make the link between French-language universities. The association works for more than 50 years in the field of higher education and research. It aims to train professionals able to contribute to the development of their countries. It regroups 800 establishments University on five continents in 100 countries, including 59 members (or observers) of the international organization of la Francophonie.
