Confidential “La Lettre du continent” revealed September 10, 2014, that the lawyers of the French company Sisco, based in Compiègne in northern France, contacted the presidency of the Republic of Cameroon in August, to complain about the non-payment of a 14.4 billion CFA francs bill (22 million euros) to be paid by the Department of Defense.

The case dates back to May 2008, it was learned. After an audit, the Cameroon Ministry of Defense mandates the French company specialized in the supply of ammunition and the "cleanup" of dangerous sites, "to clean up the ammunition depots of the country" and provide the Cameroonian army "new stocks of ammunition."

Between July and September 2008, Sisco had already completed securing couple of deposits and supplies of 3 million rounds for assault rifles to the Ministry of Defense.

"A few months later, an addendum to the signed contract with the Ministry of Defense confirmed Sisco in this mission. But since then, no service order has been sent to the company, although this document is essential for the continuation of operations. No explanation has been given to this sudden silence" indicates La Lettre du continent.

According to the same publication, "after a couple of repeated reminders and attempts to find a suitable way for the resolution of the payment Sisco decided to now involve lawyers."
