The taxi driver and the deceased's girl friend are helping security forces with investigations.

A 60-year old French man, Jean Louis Decool, gave up the ghost in a taxi on July 8th on his way to the hospital.

According to police and gendarmerie sources, the deceased, who lived with his girlfriend in the Nkongmondo neighbourhood in the port city, had been sick for some time.

That fateful day, the girlfriend hired the services of a taxi driver to take the sick person to “Armée de L’air” clinic at Bonapriso but he died on the way.

Immediately, the girlfriend and the driver wrapped the man’s face with a cloth and were about taking off when the vehicle suddenly suffered a breakdown.

They asked for help from the population who instantly discovered the veiled figure and drew the attention of the forces of Law and Order.

The remains have been deposited at the Second Region Military Hospital mortuary in Douala, while the taxi driver and the deceased girlfriend are helping the forces of Law and Order with investigations.
