The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang on Monday May 12, 2014 received Gabon's Foreign Affairs Minister, Emmanuel Issoze-Ngondet. Mr Emmanuel is a bearer of Gabonese President, Ali Bongo Ondimba's sealed message to his Cameroonian counterpart, Paul Biya.
Accompanied to the audience by Ali Bongo's Diplomatic Adviser, Jean Yves Teale and the Gabonese Ambassador to Cameroon, Biffot, Issoze-Ngondet told pressmen shortly after discussions with Philemon Yang that the sealed message dwelled on diverse issues such as sregional integration and the upsurge of insecurity in the sub-region.
Cameroon, he said, is one country which shares borders with security-threatened countries and it was important for Heads of State to share knowledge and experiences on combating the life-threatening phenomenon in the CEMAC sub-region. Issoze-Ngondet told the press that handling security issues was complicated and a collective effort was indispensable in pushing perpetuators to the wall and instituting normalcy to threatened areas. He said "the sub-region must combine efforts for a collective approach which remains the unique way to combat insecurity."
