President Biya granted audience to the Gabonese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Sub-regional Integration Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet today 7 October at Unity Palace.
After discussions that lasted over thirty minutes, the Gabonese envoy expressed his gratitude for receiving him as he brought a special message from the Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba.
He said that the two leaders had regular consultations on the evolution of things in the CEMAC Sub-region with the view to accelerate their integration.
Responding to a question from the press, Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet said that it was a great relief that the United Nations had stepped in to pursue the search for peace and stability in the Central African Republic.
He said the leaders of Cameroon and Gabon called for such action and will continue to work within CEMAC and ECCAS to ensure a return to normalcy in the CAR.
The Senior Gabonese Minister was accompanied to Unity Palace by Gabon’s Ambassador to Cameroon, Paul Patrick Biffot and Jean Yves Teale, the Diplomatic Adviser to Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba.
