Gendarmes Pick up Four Bandits

A gang of four out of six brigands were apprehended shortly after they broke into a photograph studio, ransacked and looted IT gadgets and other valuable items. Gang members arrested at the Oyack neighbourhood in Douala, include Sandjon Aimé Césaire, Nyamsi Ivan alias Jojo, Kengne Michel, Fonkue Fidele Happy. Meanwhile two other bandits, known to security officers by their sobriquet Picolo and Poussi le Chat, are on the run.

The objects taken from Tchoffo Gilbert's studio recovered during a manhunt by the gendarmes include digital photo cameras, CD player, amplifier, printer, speakers and other valuable objects. Both brigands and the items were picked up from the abodes of Nyamsi Ivan and Sandjon Aimé Césaire at Bloc N° 6 of the Oyack II neighbourhood in Douala.

The operation, which was led by Douala II Gendarmerie Company Commander, Nkamsao, in the afternoon of June 28, the day the studio was looted, will soon track down other members of the gang that are still on the run.
