German parliamentary delegation meets senate leader

Marcel Niat Njifenji on April 16, 2014 had a working session with the guests.

Mrs Gerda Hasselfeldt, President of the Christian Social Union, CSU Party Group in the German Federal Parliament and also the Vice President of the Christian Social Union and Christian Democratic Union, CDU political coalition in the same Parliament, is leading a delegation to Cameroon for a three -day working visit.

She was received yesterday, April 16, 2014 by the President of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji during which the German Parliamentary delegation and some members of the Senate bureau had a working session. Talking to the reporters through an interpreter, the German parliamentary official said she was touring African countries to have a clear view of what is being done in the areas of political, economic, security and cooperation development.

Before coming to Cameroon, she had already been to Kenya and Egypt. Working sessions during her tour will enable her appraise economic, political and security development cooperation activities on the field. After meeting senior government officials and structures under the German government in Yaounde, the German parliamentary delegation will move to the Littoral and South West Regions to discuss with local administrative authorities and visit some touristic and German historic sites in these regions.
