Faced with terrorist activities perpetrated at the borders by jihadis and insurgents, there is every indication that Cameroon is not alone.

The gift from Germany, to the defence forces, is a clear demonstration of this fact. 60 Wolf jeep and 60 Unimog trucks, vehicle armed with Quad 14.5 mm tubes were all pure products of the German technology which have proved their effectiveness on conflict zones such as Afghanistan whose barren landscapes, are somewhat similar to the steppes of the region of the far North, or to a lesser extent, the savannas of Central Africa.

The ceremony for reception of these facilities by the Minister delegate at the Presidency, responsible for defence, Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o from the Ambassador of Germany in Cameroon, Klaus Ludwig took place recently in Yaounde.

Facing fanatical armed gangs, cruel fighters who have lost their value for humanity, if we judge by the treatments they give to their victims, and whose modus operandi is based on the effect of surprise, ensure both for our soldiers, consistent mobility for prompt and effective responses.

It is said that new equipment arrives at the point where Cameroon is truly in need of it. The Cameroonian military been trained on how to operate these equipment donated by Germany.
