The public will between August 20 and 23, 2013 be abreast with government action, through the presentation of papers and exhibitions at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sport Complex within the framework of the second edition of the "Forum on Government Action".
The Minister of Communication Issa Tchiroma Bakary on behalf of the Prime Minister, Head of Government Philemon Yang on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 opened the forum that is taking place on the theme, "The action of government at the heart of emergence." The forum better known by its French acronym, "SAGO", Issa Tchiroma said, is aimed at "throwing more light into the action of public authorities in relation to their prerogative role of promoting all sectors of activity of our country for an emerging Cameroon as wished by the Head of State, President Paul Biya."
The best way of sharing the information is through exhibition stands opened to the general public to interrogate officials of the different structures. At the start of the forum, some 18 exhibition stands were already operational occupied by public and private-sector institutions. Officials of Ministries such as Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development; Public Works and Basic Education showcased and explained how they implement government policy in their specific domains. State corporations such as the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation, SOPECAM; National Printing Press; Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV, Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation, CAMWATER; and Public Contracts Regulatory Board, ARMP are active in their respective stands presenting their products and services to the public. Enterprises of the private sector that include the professional training institute in dress making, IFP/CHEC, Forum of Cameroon Investors, Cabinet CEBR specialized in architecture and public works, as well as others specialized in producing chemical products, preserving palm wine are also exhibiting their products.
