Government launches competitive entrance into EMIA

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo’o has launched the recruitment of some 195 officers into the Combined Military Academy, EMIA in Yaounde.

The communiqué released by the Minister indicates that:

Young Cameroonians of both sexes interested in taking up a career in the Defense Forces are hereby informed that a competitive examination for the entrance into the Combined Military Academy (EMIA) shall take place on 14 and 15 February 2015 in Yaounde, as follows:

I-COURSES “A”

(Direct recruitment of holders of GCE A/L + 1

Number needed: 80

a.Conditions

•Be of Cameroonian nationality;

•Be of good moral conduct;

•Have a good criminal record;

•Be good in health;

•Be of minimum age of 18 years as of 01/01/2014 (be born before January 02 1996) and maximum of 23 years on 31/12/2014 (be born after December 30 1991);

•Be a holder of GCE A/L with three (03) papers excluding religious knowledge or an equivalent, plus a successful academic year in higher learning.

b.Composition of file

•A handwritten application bearing a 1000 CFA francs fiscal stamp, signed by candidate addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense;

•A cardboard folder;

•A certified true copy of birth certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•A certified true copy of GCE A/L with three papers excluding religious knowledge or an equivalent;

•An attestation of presentation of original certificate;

•An attestation of registration in 1st year of higher learning;

•A curriculum vitae;

•A non conviction certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•A Cameroonian nationality certificate issued by competent authority;

•A certificate of celibacy;

•An A4 size envelope stamped with 500 francs bearing the following information: names, date and place of birth, region of origin, department of origin, diploma, training language, series and complete address;

•A receipt showing payment of CFA 20.000 francs at the Department of Human Resources in the Ministry of Defense.

II-Courses “B1”

(Recruitment of Inter-Army soldiers holding the GCE A/L)

Number needed: 20

a.Conditions:

•Be of Cameroonian nationality;

•Be of maximum age of 30 years on 31/12/2014 (be born after December 30 1984);

•Have a professional experience of at least five (05) years;

•Be good in health;

•Be a holder of GCE A/L with three (03) papers excluding religious knowledge or an equivalent.

b.Composition of file

•A handwritten application bearing a 1000 CFA francs fiscal stamp, signed by candidate addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense;

•A cardboard folder;

•A certified true copy of birth certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•A certified true copy of GCE A/L with three papers excluding religious knowledge or an equivalent;

•An attestation of presentation of original certificate;

•A reduced file;

•An A4 size envelope stamped with 500 francs bearing the following information: names, date and place of birth, region of origin, department of origin, diploma, training language, series and complete address;

•A receipt showing payment of CFA 20.000 francs at the Department of Human Resources in the Ministry of Defense.

III-COURSES “B2 (b)”

(Recruitment of soldiers holding higher learning certificates)

Number needed: 10

a.Conditions:

•Be of Cameroonian nationality;

•Be of maximum age of 32 years on 31/12/2014 (be born after December 30 1982);

•Have a professional experience of at least five (05) years;

•Be good in health;

•Be a holder of a certificate delivered by an institution of higher learning.

b.Composition of file

•A handwritten application bearing a 1000 CFA francs fiscal stamp, signed by candidate addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense;

•A cardboard folder;

•A certified true copy of birth certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•An attestation of presentation of original certificate;

•A certified true copy of Higher Learning Certificate;

•A reduced file;

•An A4 size envelope stamped with 500 francs bearing the following information: names, date and place of birth, region of origin, department of origin, diploma, training language, series and complete address;

•A receipt showing payment of CFA 20.000 francs at the Department of Human Resources in the Ministry of Defense.

IV-COURSES “C”

(Recruitment of holders of higher learning certificates)

Number needed: 75

a.Conditions:

•Be of Cameroonian nationality;

•Be of maximum age of 26 years on 31/12/2012 (be born after December 30 1988);

•Be of good moral conduct;

•Have a good criminal record;

•Be in good health;

•Be a holder of a certificate in design or civil engineering in one of the following:

Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a Higher Certificate in one of the following: Law, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Psychology, Natural Sciences.

b.Composition of file

•A handwritten application bearing a 1000 CFA francs fiscal stamp, signed by candidate addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense;

•A cardboard folder;

•A certified true copy of birth certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•A certified true copy of the certificate;

•An attestation of presentation of original certificate;

•An attestation of registration in 1st year of higher learning;

•A curriculum vitae;

•A non conviction certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•A Cameroonian nationality certificate issued by competent authority;

•A certificate of celibacy;

V-Courses “D (b1)”

(Recruitment of General Practitioners and specialists on the basis of their qualifications)

Number needed: 10 General practitioners and 05 specialists.

a.Conditions:

•Be of Cameroonian nationality;

•Be of maximum age of 30 years on 31/12/2012 (be born after December 30 1984) for general practitioners, pharmacists, dental-surgeons and veterinary doctors;

•Be of maximum age of 35 years on 31/12/2012 (be born after December 30 1979) for specialists;

•Be holder of a certificate in one of the fields useful to army (for specialists);

•Have a good criminal record;

•Be of good moral conduct;

•Be in good health;

b.Composition of file

•A handwritten application bearing a 1000 CFA francs fiscal stamp, signed by candidate addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense;

•A cardboard folder;

•A certified true copy of birth certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•A certified true copy of the certificate (for general practitioners);

•Attestations of presentations of originals of certificates;

•Certified true copy of birth certificate and specialization certificate (for specialists);

•A curriculum vitae;

•A non conviction certificate not more than three (03) months old;

•A Cameroonian nationality certificate issued by competent authority;

•A certificate of celibacy;
