Government recruits 9000 teachers

The minister of Basic education recently recruited more than 9000 teachers, with about 3000 from PTA teachers.

Sylvie Essama Ebanda is one of the more than 3000 teachers recruited from PTA teachers at the beginning of August by the Ministry of Basic Education. "I've always wanted to be a government teacher. My dream came true. I am now very happy and motivated to begin classes on September 8”, she said.

With monthly revenues now fixed, Sylvie Essama Ebanda explained that she can now devote herself to her passion in peace. "Without a constant and consistent pay, she explains, we don't live. It is not easy to be a PTA teacher. As Sylvie Essama Ebanda, other recruits are also at ease.

Robert Ekani Nama, also revealed; "from the outside, you cannot measure the suffering of PTA teachers, they who await the crumbs of associations of parents of pupils.

As stated by Paul Valentin Emog, Director of human resources at the Ministry of Basic Education, the need for teachers is growing. This year a first of wave more than 3,000 teachers will be recruited.
