Governors meet in Yaounde

The second semester of the Conference of Governors was held at the Yaounde City Hall.

The meeting brought together Governors of the ten regions of the country.

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation, Rene Emmanuel Sadi opened the session on December 9, 2015.

Emphasis during this meeting was on the need to check the activities of vigilante groups currently assisting the defence forces in fighting terrorism in the country.

The meeting will also be medium for the Governors to brief the Territorial Administration Minister on the security situation in the various parts of the country, as the end of year festivities draw near.

The meeting was organised under the theme, “Administrative authorities, popular defence and the promotion of patriotic values” and will run till December 11, 2015.
