Ever since Cameroon Concord reported on Minister Martin Belinga Eboutou, painting him as our nation’s silent billionaire, the campaign to bring him to justice has now taken a dramatic turn with the leadership of the Cameroon Transitional Council based in New York calling on the Cameroonian people to rise up against the Biya hegemony.
In a statement issued by the group’s leadership Patrice Nouma and Junior Zogo, the Cameroon Transitional Council revealed that Minister Martin Belinga Eboutou owns and runs a school that admits only children from the Beti-Ewondo ruling tribal cult among them the kids of Pierre Bikele current Director of Protocol at the presidency of the republic. The school is reportedly located at the outskirts of Yaounde precisely at Nkol-Essame in Ebang deep down the Soa area.
The CTC hinted that the Martin Belinga institution “Athenee de la Sapience” estimated to have cost hundreds of millions of Fcfa from the Cameroon tax payer charges 2.5 million cfa as school fees. The New York based group is calling for a major uprising against the Biya regime and the arrest of Martin Belinga Eboutou.
Below is an attempted translation of the text issued in French by our CAMCORD Desk:
Many will be surprised by the grim sound of this new findings by the Cameroon Transitional Council (CTC).
Well, hold your breath: it is a new genius idea by the demigod called Martin Belinga Eboutou of Cameroon.
He built a school for the elite in the outskirts of Yaounde, precisely at Nkol-ESSAMA Ebang between SOA and the Yaoundé-Bafoussam highway near Nkomtou.
It is in this new temple that the political establishment and Cameroon business elites mingle and guarantee a good education for their children.
Among the privileged ones are the children of the Director of State Protocol BIKELE Pierre.
This new temple of knowledge was inaugurated at a high profile event that featured the notable presence of our army generals who have abandoned the fight against boko haram.
You wouldn't believe that the fees are only 2.5 million CFA francs including boarding facilities.
Well, some will argue that it is a good initiative by investing at home. That seems plausible and logical. But when you look deeper, it raises several questions:
1- Where did he get such a large sum as a civil servant to make such an hefty investment? Anyone interested in justice would find this to be very disturbing.
2- How could he prevent a fellow cameroonian from conducting his own project by reaping him off millions of euros with the help of Bishop Adalbert Ndzana and killing his mother!
3- How will the children of less affluent cameroonians be able to access this elite school?
4- How could he undertake such a project that only benefits a select few in a country where some children attend classes in the open and sit on tree trunks, with sordid teachers?
