President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea has invited President Paul Biya of Cameroon to attend the ordinary session of the Gulf of Guinea Commission that will take place in the Equato-Guinean capital, Malabo on August 9 and 10, 2013.
The special envoy of President Obiang Nguema, the Minister of State at the Presidency in charge of Regional Integration, Baltasar Engonga Edjo handed the invitation to Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang during a Star Building audience on Friday, August 2, 2013 to forward to President Paul Biya.
Talking to reporters after the audience, Baltasar Engonga Edjo said the Malabo summit will likely serve as a forum for Heads of State of the Gulf of Guinea Commission to draw up a programme to implement the Code of Conduct and resolutions taken at the Yaounde Summit on maritime safety and security in the Gulf of Guinea. The Gulf of Guinea Summit on Maritime Safety and Security of June 24 and 25, 2013 brought together leaders of the Economic Community of Central African States, ECCAS, Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS and the Gulf of Guinea Commission, GGC.
The special envoy of the Equato-Guinean President said relations between the two brotherly countries were good.
