Hubert Etoundi launches book on imperialism

The book "Les raisons du retard de l’Afrique" written by Hubert Etoundi was recently autographed in Douala.

Why is the African continent lagging in development issue mainly in poverty and related headaches? Hubert Bialimi Etoundi provides answers in a book that has just been published, titled: "Les raisons du retard de l’Afrique". The author is well known to viewers of the TV Africa Media channel.

Among the people present 30 July at the dedication held on the premises of the CNPS in Bonanjo were Patrick Sapack, who prefaced the book and other critics of imperialism.

The author believes imperialism is the cause of the woes on the black continent. According to the book, the reasons for the delay of Africa are to be discovered in the distant past as well as in the present.

The book should rather be seen as a "strong inquiry", in the words of Carine Edie, head of the division of administrative and Legal Affairs to the region, who presided over the ceremony on behalf of the Governor of Littoral. Such interpellation was addressed to every son and daughter of the continent.

"There is no race superior to the other. Shall we turn the wheel? No. But are inventions finished? No, believes the author who urges that we should not hate each other? "We all belong to the same community of men, but each people deserve respect”.
