Days after the suspected murder of Level 3 Economic Sciences student of University of Yaoundé 2, Soa, Gaëlle Tatiana Medjo, a lot of rumours and allegations have been made especially on social media platforms.

The most damning is the accusation of popular Cameroonian musicians Stanley Enow and Dynastie Le Tigre, who have been allegedly linked to the death of the student in Yaounde on June 22.

The news website CameroonInfo.Net, however, reported the alleged arrest and questioning of the two musicians on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, who were allegedly accused of being masterminds of a supposed chat group on WhatsApp, linked to the death of the student.

The report indicated that the two were released after interrogation.

Meanwhile, rapper Stanley Enow has reacted to the allegations and rumours via his Facebook page immediately after the report denying any direct or indirect involvement with any social media group.

"I will like to bring to your knowledge that I am not in any way be it directly or indirectly involved in whatever controversy resulting from the fraudulent usage of my name and image.

"Due to the increasing and reoccurring usage of my image and my name by ill-intended people in an attempt to jeopardise my career, I call on you all to be more vigilant," he said in the statement.

He insisted on having only one verified Facebook artist page and a personal account which has already reached its 5000 friends limit. "All other accounts in my name are fake and created for ill purpose."

Stanley Enow said he has reserved his right to take legal action against any prejudice that might affect his character but requested individuals defaming him to desist from such acts.

Meanwhile, Stanley Enow's statement has not confirmed or denied the news about his arrest and questioning. The other artiste in question, Dynastie Le Tigre, has also not made any statement in that regard.
