I was resuscitated after a traffic accident- Françoise Foning

The 5th Mayor of Douala was involved in a car accident last Saturday. According to sources, she left Yaounde on Saturday for her village in Bafou, West of Cameroon. Driving through Bafia, the car of Françoise Foning got involved in an accident.

According to witnesses on the scene, the driver of the 5th Mayor of Douala was trying to dodge a motorcycle at Ebebda when she lost control of the car.

Françoise Foning was rushed to Yaounde central hospital where she was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit. Hospital sources indicated that the Mayor had a fractured leg and a few broken ribs. "Her condition is stable and she's responding positively to the treatment", a relative noted.

In August 2003, Françoise Foning is said to have suffered an accident where she suffered several fractures. She was however sent to France to access treatment.
