Users of Information Technology (IT) in Douala have been equipped on the advantages of storage solutions for Visualisation and Cloud, as well as Oracle database 11g for improved administration and security.
The Socitech organised and facilitated seminar, which held at the Sawa Hotel recent, serves to encourage enterprises to better save, access and protect data and other information while integrating information solutions and oracle.
The world leader for database Socitech, now in Cameroon, seeks to encourage the use of IT programmes which already in use in Nigeria. Maurice Ossieny, Country Manager, underlined the advantages of the logistics which he said helps to reduce backup timeframe, optimise the use of human resources; increase security data; provide high availability of data to the end user. "All these will help reduce cost and increase productivity," he said.
The main objective of this seminar is to sensitise the IT users on how to better manage their IT environment by using virtualisation and cloud computing. Enterprises in Cameroon were encouraged to make use of these highly performant and ultramodern IT logistics to preserve data that can be accessed at anytime without risk of losing them.
Socitech has the sole advantage as an advice intermediate between enterprises and owners of savers and is helping promote their use in the country, just as in Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Abidjan, Gabon, Senegal, Niger and Congo.
