Intellectual Property: Another Master’s II Degree Course launched

The sixth batch of Master’s II Degree in Intellectual Property for the 2015-2016 academic year of the African Intellectual Property Organisation, OAPI, was launched in Yaounde on January 6, 2015. The event took place in the presence of diplomats, university lecturers and other dignitaries.

The course is organised OAPI, the World Intellectual Property Organisation and the Office Japonais des Brevets in collaboration with the University of Yaounde II, Soa. Speaking at the occasion, the Vice Rector of the University of Yaounde II, Prof. Mol Nang, assured officials, partners and students of the University of Yaounde II that they will continue to support and encourage OAPI’s efforts.

The Director General of the African Intellectual Property Organisation, Paulin Edou Edou, called on the students to consolidate the achievements of their training so as to strengthen its credibility and authority. He urged students to be disciplined in order to produce better results.

The Masters II Degree in Intellectual Property is a specialised course in French intended to meet the needs of OAPI member States. The training takes place in three phases, including distant learning and live lectures. The writing of a thesis as a follow-up of internship at OAPI marks the end of the training that lasts 10 months.
