Intercity train catches fire along Ydé-Dla axis

An Inter City train undergoing its usual rounds caught fire on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

According to a witness, the incident occurred not far from the town called Eséka in the central region. The new fast train belonging to Camrail society was running along the Yaoundé – Douala axes when suddenly the engine caught fire.

Local residents, Camrail staff and some men in uniform, succeeded in quenching the fire with buckets of water, sand and fire extinguishers.
