Internal audit committee installed at Minfi

Internal audit committee members participated in a forum that took place yesterday in Yaounde to install them to their function at the department.

"Audit–managers” is a new profile of leaders installed to run the internal audit issues, created in January 2014 at the Ministry of Finances (Minfi).

According to Minfi, Alamine Ousmane Mey, Chairman of the Committee: "we are in a period of profound change of the Auditing profession".

The new profile is expected to adopt a systemic and holistic approach to the achievement of its vision. Indeed, the Committee will have the task of enlightening Minfi on the efficiency of the internal control, to ensure the effectiveness and the independence of the internal audit within the Department, as well as to ensure the quality of external audit among other benefits.

The installation ceremony of the members of that Committee was coupled with a training workshop on the appropriation of the fundamentals of internal auditing. According to Minfi, this concept requires a good adaptation to the new requirements for the management and control of the risks of the organization.

The Committee, to do this, consists of a first vice-president, Urbain Noël Ebang Mve, Secretary general of the Minfi, a Vice-President, Alhadji Djibrilla Nana, inspector general of the services of the financial authorities. The members are inter alia, Directors General of customs, Treasury, financial and monetary, tax Cooperation, budget.
