Italian Amb. visits CMR First Lady’s centres

The Italian Ambassador to Cameroon, Samuela Isopa has expressed satisfaction with the First Lady’s fight against diseases, poverty and social ills.

H.E. Samuela Isopa communicated her feeling of satisfaction during her visit to the headquarters of the Pan-African NGO, African Synergy and the Chantal Biya International Research Centre (CIRCB) in Yaounde on 17th September, 2014.

Accompanied by the Executive Secretary of African Synergy, Jean Stephane Biatcha, the Italian diplomat visited the institute and hailed the First Lady Chantal Biya for her efforts in combating the HIV/AIDS virus, poverty, diseases and hardship.

After watching a documentary film on the creation and evolution of the centre, the Italian envoy received Mrs Chantal Biya’s symbolic gift and signed the golden book.

From African Synergy, the diplomat had a stopover at the CIRCB where she was warmly received by the administrator Professor Alexis Ndjolo and staff members.

At CIRCB, the Italian emissary watched another video projection on the history and functioning of the research centre and later visited the laboratories therein.

At the end of the visit, H.E. Samuela Isopa saluted the activities of research centre which has been receiving financing from the Italian government. She pledged to carry on with the support of her predecessors.
