The Director of Publication of the newspaper "Le Zénith" was released from prison on Friday, February 6, 2015.

The journalist and press patron Saint Zacharie Flash Ndiomo has been released after more than three months in Yaounde Kondengui central prison.

After a visit to the tribunal on January 22, his release was finally granted.

The complainant Urbain Ebang Mvé, Secretary General of Ministry of Finance, has ceased to portray his defection from the courtroom. The first four appearances had led to referrals without trial, for reasons of lack of the opposing party.

The ill-gotten information from Mr. Ebang Mve was published in "The Zenith". And on October 20, Flash Ndiomo, was remanded in custody after a week of garde à vue at the judicial police.

He had been summoned on the grounds of "defamation" against the Secretary-General of the Ministry of finance.
