Afrik joined two other radio stations in the capital. The medium created by journalist Polycarpe Essomba officially launched its programme on October 13, 2014 in Yaounde.

Afrik clôturait 2 had a test period that lasted a month. The promoter of the new radio aims to make it an instrument that gives a rosier Cameroon and an African image.

"It is time that Africa gives another image, and we need everyone because everyone has a responsibility. Stop thinking that the country is bad or that Africa is bad, it's better than elsewhere," he says.

Afrik 2 transmits in Yaounde on the 105.0 frequency. The people of Douala will soon hear it on 95.5 MHz. Listeners can also listen to the programs of the new radio soon on the Internet.
