The KOICA Alumni Association Cameroon, KAAC, held its Annual General Assembly in Yaounde on November 21, 2015.
Former beneficiaries of the Korean International Cooperation Agency, KOICA, scholarships have been sharing their experience with different Cameroonian communities. Under the KOICA Alumni Association Cameroon, KAAC, the former students have since 2009 carried out a number of activities.
Meeting at the KOICA head office in Yaounde on Saturday, November 21, 2015, members, under their President, Amina Abdul, evaluated activities for 2015. She noted that all projects in the area of health, education, agriculture and training were implemented and another one even added. The Korean Ambassador to Cameroon, His Excellency Lim Jae-Hoon, disclosed that 60 Cameroonians have this year received Korean scholarships and training. He restated KOICA’s readiness to offer its technical and financial assistance in sharing Korea’s development assistance with Cameroonians.
Ambassador Lim Jae-Hoon noted that Korea’s development experience uplifted it from one of the poorest nations on earth to a developed country today. The event was interspaced with Cameroonian and Korean dances, songs and the presentation of a painting symbolising relations between the two nations.
