Kumbo: Bandits break into basic education delegation

Suspected men of the underworld broke into the Divisional Delegation of Basic Education in Kumbo, Bui Division of the North West Region, in the night of December 2, 2015. They took away a photocopying machine and FCFA 15,000.

According to the Divisional Delegate of Basic Education, Angwafor Clement Mankefo, the burglars forcefully opened the main door and those leading to the offices of the Divisional Head for Administration and Finance, the Secretariat and the Divisional Delegate. The stolen photocopier, of mark Canon IR 20163, was worth FCFA 746,000, while FCFA 15,000 was collected from the drawer of Matthias Laneh, the Divisional Head for Administration and Finance.

The theft was discovered the following morning by a caretaker who was arrested by police and later released on bail. The matter was reported at the Kumbo Public Security Station. Meanwhile, the tampered door locks have been replaced and security tightened.
