Lady Tessa Blackstone was received Thursday, on behalf of the head of State, by the Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh.

She is head of the delegation of parliamentarians from the United Kingdom at the 60th session of the Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

Lady Tessa Blackstone told the press that she had a discourse with Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, who received her on behalf of the head of State on the work of the conference.

This was an opportunity for her to express gratitude to President Paul Biya, the Government and the Cameroonian people for their welcome and their hospitality. She also expressed appreciation for the good organization of the conference.

The parliamentarian also revealed that she expressed sympathy for the Cameroonian people, to the families of the victims of insurgents from the Islamists who are perpetrating abuses in the far north of Cameroon.

She therefore hoped for a rapid solution to this crisis, while providing the head of State and the Cameroonian Government the solidarity and support of the United Kingdom in this event.

In this regard, she revealed that her country bears interest at the international meeting that will be held in the coming days in Abuja, capital of Nigeria to find ways and means to neutralize this Nebula.
