London — Minister for Africa, Mark Simmonds, welcomes Cameroon Minister to London for first UK-Cameroon Joint Commission.
Mark Simmonds, Foreign Office Minister for Africa, co-chaired the first UK-Cameroon Joint Commission with H. E. Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, the Cameroon Minister of External Relations in London on 2 September.
Following the meeting Mr Simmonds said:
The Joint Commission has provided a historic opportunity for us to strengthen our close relationship with the Republic of Cameroon. We held productive discussions on a number of areas including deepening bilateral commercial links, mutual political interests and migration.
I am delighted to have signed a Joint Communiqué with His Excellency Mr Mbonjo which will provide the basis for our closer working relationship in the years to come.
