Joseph Beti Assomo made a focus on Thursday, October 9, 2014, in the services of the Littoral Region, to demonstrate his dissatisfaction with the unfortunate behaviour of the armed forces and police, a few days ago at the expense of the security of the people.

The administrative authorities, the leaders of the armed forces and police and journalists were present at the Littoral Region, Thursday, October 9, 2014, respecting the call from the Governor, Joseph Beti Assomo.

One of the points on the agenda of this meeting, was the unfortunate behaviour of the uniformed men in the Littoral region. This came after the incident where gendarmes and policemen clashed at the expense of the security of people.

The armed forces and police brought shame to the colors of the country. He quoted the examples where at the Deido round about, a few days ago, gendarmes and police officers fought in front of the stunned audience. As if this was not enough, Tuesday, October 7, 2014, gendarmerie and prison personnel brutally fought, an attitude which according to Joseph Beti Assomo dishonors the armed forces and police.

“These are unfortunate and deviant behaviour", he said. We must take firm steps to avoid the further occurrence of such performances. The culprits must be identified and severe sanctions will be meted out to them.
