MINEPAT officials comb refugee camps

A team led by the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT), Yaouba Abdoulaye has visited refugee camps in the East region of Cameroon.

The visit was organised to identify the needs of the refugees and displaced persons in a bid to draw up projects to assist them and also encourage a peaceful cohabitation between refugees and host communities.

During working sessions with competent authorities, the Minister Delegate promised on behalf of Government to address the problems faced not only by the refugees but host communities.

The visit has been organised after Government received a donation of four billion CFAF from the German Corporation GIZ destined to refugees and internally displaced persons in the East and Far North regions.

The visiting delegation left the East region to the Far North region to carry out a similar exercise.
