MINSEP staff trained on administrative ethics

This was during a two-day seminar which ended in Yaounde.

Some 60 senior staff of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education have been drilled on professional ethics and administrative writing. The training took place within the frame work of a seminar which took place at the Yaounde sports complex on December 8th and 9th.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, the Secretary General at the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, Samuel Wonyu, said the seminar was to inculcate new concepts and acquaint the staff especially newly recruited senior staff on the latest administrative procedures and practices.

He said the seminar which was the second of its kind falls within the continuous training programme of staff of the ministry ever since he took over as secretary general. He urged the staff to put the knowledge gathered to use so as to assist president Paul Biya attain the noble goal of an emerging Cameroon by 2035.

The facilitator of the seminar, Paul Emmanuel Tonye who also happens to be the Secretary General of the Ministry of State, disclosed that the personnel were trained on administrative writing, developing aptitude and attitude to work in the public service, how to address hierarchy, colleagues and junior staff, mastery of administrative language, drafting of legislative texts as well as administrative style of writing.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education disclosed that another seminar will follow, this time dwelling on monitoring and evaluation of projects for senior staff of the central services of the ministry.
