MTN Foundation offers potable water to Ekoko, Meye communities

The health and living conditions of the population of the localities of Ekoko and Meye in Mengang District of the Nyong and Mfoumou Division of the Centre Region will never be the same again, following the donation of new hand pump wells by MTN Foundation last January 31.

Receiving what they described as “a real jewel”, the population showered praises on MTN Foundation for helping them put an end to their suffering and water borne diseases.

The hand pump wells which will henceforth offer the population potable water was handed over to the two communities through the Women’s Association Network, Mengang District President, Félicité Eyenga, during a solemn ceremony co-chaired by the Executive Secretary of MTN Foundation, Jean Melvin Akam and the Senior Divisional Officer of Nyong and Mfoumou, Charles Kamga.
