Man arrested for insulting Biya in Yaoundé

A Maroua Urban council worker by name BukAm Kamseu Serge Romo was arrested yesterday in Bastos -Yaoundé between 2 pm and 3 pm.He is currently at the 8th district police station in the capital where he spent the night.

According to l'Oeil du Sahel the reason for His arrest was because he wanted to go to the University hospital while the new Bastos road had been closed for both vehicles and pedestrians following the visit of the Italian President.

When BukAm Kamseu Serge Romoa tried to find out more information from police about the blockade which was affecting pedestrians, he was beaten and arrested for insulting the Head of State Paul Biya, says L'Oeil Du Sahel
