Weeklong activities that will culminate in the commemoration of the 26th edition of the day of the African child on june 16th have been launched in the Far North region of Cameroon.
The event was launched with a call on children to take up their moral obligation in shaping their future.
Social Affairs Minister Pauline Irene Nguene launched the activities in Maroua alongside other campaigns in favour of the protection of children\'s rights and those of other vulnerable and incapacitated people in the society.
Maroua was chosen to host the launch because of the multitude of vulnerable groups in the region, including refugees most of whom are women and children.
