Over 336 newly-elected executive members of the Mfoundi III Section of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, and its six Sub-sections have been enjoined by the Section President, André Mama Fouda, to start rallying militants and promote unity as well as total adhesion to the ruling party because 2018 is around the corner.

During the presentation ceremony that was preceded by a thanksgiving mass followed by a sumptuous meal on January 16, 2016 at André Mama Fouda’s residence in the Obobogo neighbourhood in Yaounde, the host hailed his comrades for ensuring a hitch-free election that ended the operation to renew grassroots structures of the party.

“May this conference be the launch of Sub-section conferences to rally militants and sympathisers so that the CPDM gets at least 50,000 potential voters out of the 70,000 in Mfoundi III Sub-division,” he stated. He told the executives from Obobogo, Afanoya, Obili, Ngoa-Ekelle and Ahala Sub-sections not to leave or forget anybody because there is no small militant.

“Each represents one vote needed to elect the National President, Paul Biya, for another mandate as Head of State in 2018,” he said. The Section President further stated that the Mfoundi III Section emerged strong from the renewal exercise as Sub-sections were increased from three to six while branches were also increased to 450.

The conference was organised in the wake of a recent decision by the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the CPDM Party, Jean Nkuete, endorsing all results reported at the end of the nationwide renewal exercise that held from August I, 2015 to December 10, 2015.
