The Secretary General of the Francophonie, Michaëlle Jean met youth associations in the "tripartite" room of the Yaounde Congress hall on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

For two hours, the youth associations, academic and civil society organizations engaged in a forum on social inclusion and opportunities available within the OIF as well as the involvement of young people in the management of public affairs.

Thus, five (5) young people had the opportunity to speak to the Secretary General of the Francophonie. One of the queries sought to know how the youth can work with the OIF? To this question, Michaëlle Jean suggested an application first to be volunteers. She continues by assuring them that the OIF remains open to provide several positions to young people through its various operators such as TV5, AUF, etc.

Also, grants or study opportunities exist for young people to continue their education in French-speaking regions.

Michaëlle Jean felt that the participation of the youth in governance is relevant as no change in a country can be realized without the youth. This is because they represent the energy and the engine of the world. She also noted that in addition to military force, the young have a weapon of mass construction to terrorism.
