They were decorated on Monrday April 1 at the Yaounde Military headquarters.
The award of decorations to some non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces counting for the second semester of the 2013 budget award year held at the Yaounde Military headquarters yesterday April 1. The ceremony to award the over 140 non-commissioners and 10 rank and file soldiers with the new ranks was chaired by the Commander of the Military Headquarters, Col. Donatien Nouma Melingui.
The two-phase ceremony began with the reading of the March 29, 2013 order signed by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Alain Mebe Ngo'o. The placing of decorations followed suit for non-commissioned officers, then came that for those of the rank and file. The review of troops was then followed by a march past.
The presiding officer, Col. Nouma Melingui then took time off to congratulate the promoted individually before allowing joyous family members to also felicitate their rpromoted relatives.
