Minatd Recruits Trained on Administrative Fundamentals Principles

A two day seminar has been declared by the Littoral Governor.

About 120 graduated from the University, recruited by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Minatd, are undergoing training in at the Littoral regional office in Douala. These young people form part of the 25 thousand graduates integrated in the public service. The 120 are those recruited by Minatd and transferred to work in Douala.

In an opening address, the Governor of the Littoral Region, Joseph Beti Assomo said the seminar is geared at training the students to gain skills in the administrative system in Cameroon. He was speaking to the recruits to pay particular attention in the lessons, and equally be participatory in the lessons. He said exposés will be done by Minatd and will be very practical. He insisted on their behavior throughout this period to be excellent. Adding that they should know they are no longer in the university milieu. The governor added they want to come up with administrative staffs that are perfect and skillful. Adding that they should be able to make useful contributions and suggestions which could be of use to Minatd.

The Inspector of Minatd, Bekono Mana Claude, who is one of the resource persons, said they have to teach the new recruits how to write administrative letters. They will be trained to know the different actions in the public service vis-à-vis the private sectors.
