Minister of Employment launches 2014 job fair

The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training Zacharie Perevet has launched the 4th edition of the 2014 job fair dub “carrefour des métiers” taking place in Yaounde.

The job discussion ground that ends on Friday 28th November 2014 is a platform for many job seekers in the country to meet job counsellors for career orientation.

It is also an opportunity for students and job-seekers to be drilled on the diverse job offers that exist in the job markets.

During this rare occasion job seekers who occupy a large ratio in the country will ramble around the job fair market for diverse reasons.

Suh Roland, a potential job seeker says he wants to know the different opportunities and get himself acquainted with the Cameroonian job market. He intends to create jobs through small and medium size enterprises.

This 2014 job edition has come with two new innovations which are: a village where the population will be drilled on the live exhibition of wood work, hotel management and tourism services.

Secondly, the public will have to receive professional ethics on job creation and job hunting.

During the launching ceremony, more than 50 stands had already been established in the domains of ICTs and solar energy, crafts and works of arts in a bid by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training to welcome a targeted number of five thousand visitors before the end of the fair.

The Ministry has also made known her intentions to extend the job fair exhibition to other nine regions of the country in the days ahead, a means Minister Perevet’s claims will narrow the rate of unemployment and increase the involvement of youths in decision making.
