Ministers, Secretaries of State grace Elung’s homecoming

It was unprecedented in the annals of homecoming ceremonies organised in the South West Region and even in the whole of Cameroon when eleven government ministers and three secretaries of state graced the homecoming ceremony of Paul Elung Che, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Finance in charge of the Budget.

The eleven government Ministers included the Minister of Finance, Alamine Ousmane Mey; Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Louis Paul Motaze; Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Philip Ngole Ngwese; Minister Delegate in the Ministry of external Relations in charge of Relations with the Commonwealth, Chief Dr. Dion Ngute; Minister of Agriculture, Henri Eyebe Ayissi, Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Dr. Basile Atangana Kouna; Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Ange Angouin; Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Ngale Bibehe; Minister of Housing and Urban Development Jean Claude Mbwentcho; Minister delegate at the Presidency In charge of State Audit, Rose Mbah Acha; Minister, Deputy Secretary General at the Prime Minister’s Office, Ngante Pascal.

Meanwhile, the Secretaries of State, who answered present, included Ayinde Louis, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Public Works in Charge of Roads; Baola Boniface, Secretary of State for Secondary education, Prof. Leke Tambo, Secretary of State for Basic Education. Other top brass included the Governor of the South West region, Bernard Okalia Bilai, General Managers of state corporations, Director Generals of government services, Senators, Members of Parliament, and a cross-section of Kupe-Muanenguba people from the nocks and crannies of Cameroon and beyond among several others.

Reacting to the caliber and cream of people who turned out for this event, many observers attested that it was a clear testimony of the good works of the chief celebrant, Minister Paul Elung Che.

Barrister Justice Eba Ntoko, who was in the Fako delegate, attested that this was unprecedented.

“This is to tell you that Minister Paul Elung Che is not only our person, we of Kupe-Muanenguba Division, but is a national figure. We have to now give him our support,” Barrister Ntoko said.

“We also want to show our solidarity, concord and support given by big brother Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Philip Ngolle Ngwese. For the first time in Kupe-Muanenguba, two prominent political figures are working together. We always saw in the past that there was always a lot of rivalry, but this time, around that is not the case. There was a lot of brotherhood. We also have to be strongly behind them so that in the future any other persons who come on board should copy the good example of ministers Philip Ngolle Ngwese and Paul Elung Che are showing.
