CCIMA President granted audience to the Club in Douala on December 22.

Two more young entrepreneurs will be selected in the days ahead for yet another capacity-building programme in Bordeaux, France. The information filtered from an audience the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts of Cameroon (CCIMA), Christophe Eken, granted the Club Bordeaux-Cameroun-France on December 22.

Speaking to journalists after the audience, the Founding President of the Club, Pierre de Gaétan Njikam Mouliom, who is also Bordeaux’s Deputy Mayor in charge of Partnership with Sub-Saharan Africa, reiterated their commitment to give a push to young and talented Cameroonian entrepreneurs.

The Club with a mission to contribute to sustainable development in Cameroon by encouraging and instilling entrepreneurial spirit in young Cameroonians will upgrade the capacity of two young entrepreneurs for a period of one month in France.

The two laureates for 2014 will be trained in Kedge Business School in Bordeaux and will as well network with high level leaders and decision-makers in the economic sector. Since the programme was initiated in 2010, two entrepreneurs between the ages of 20 and 40 are selected each year based on the content and credibility of their files deposited at CCIMA.

The results of the six already trained, according to the delegation leader, are satisfactory and it has spurred the Club to do more. He said the Club will put in place a follow up commission to guide laureates after training. The Club that selects laureates from agro-industries, ICT and craft sectors have made their intentions known to add industrial maintenance and wood sectors and increase the number of beneficiaries as well.

CCIMA President, Christophe Eken, commended the dynamism of the Club in training young entrepreneurs and enjoined interested entrepreneurs to start compiling their files. Pierre de Gaétan was accompanied by the Vice President of the Club- Sylvie Cazes, Club’s Partner, Alain Chavance, Club’s Treasurer, Franck Monier and Club’s Deputy Secretary General, Yannick Kwetchoua.
