In his address to the Youths of Cameroon, President Biya commended jobs such as plumbing, electricity motor and industrial mechanics as real sectors for economic growth.

After getting hold of President Biya’s speech to the Youths, many mechanics were once again motivated to value this profession which have for long been debased by others.

A glaring example is 24year old Michel Noah Nguene, owner of a 300metre squared garage at the Etoudi Neighbourhood. With this profession, Michel Noah has been able to build a house, is married with children, and is currently training more than 20 apprentices.

20year old Stanley Ringnui, one of Michel’s apprentices who after having been trained for 3 years, expressed the need to create employment for many unemployed youths as soon as he owns his own garage.

Stanley drew the inspiration of becoming a mechanic from his grandfather who could only permit him to become one after having obtained his First School Leaving certificate.

Everything being equal, there is hope of making Cameroon an emerging nation by 2035 if only qualified youths are trained as highlighted in President Biya’s address.
