Ms. Christine Robichon invites Cameroon to France Summit

The Ambassador of France in Cameroon, Ms. Christine Robichon was received on Tuesday by the Minister of the environment, Nature Protection and sustainable development, Mr Hele Pierre.

In the discussion between the Minister and the Ambassador of France, she revealed that the French Government intends to put at the disposal of Cameroon, expertise to prepare the contribution of Cameroon at the COOP 21 Summit being held this year in Paris, France.

Madame Christine Robichon informed her host that Cameroon is part of twenty (20) friendly countries who were selected to benefit from this exceptional assistance.

So French and Cameroonian experts have six months to file their report, which is expected before the end of the month of October 2015.

To qualify for this offer, Cameroon must submit a request to the French Development Agency (AFD).

In response to this offer, the Minister of the environment, Nature Protection and sustainable development accompanied by the Minister delegate to the Minister of the environment, Protection of Nature and the development sustainable Dr. Nana Aboubakar Djalloh and Secretary General Mr Akwa Patrick Kum Bong, reassured her of the availability of Cameroon at the Paris Summit.

France relies on friendly countries for the success of the Paris Summit on climate change concluded Madam the Ambassador of France in Cameroon.
