The Muslim association for cooperation and development (MCD) recently invited all believers in Cameroon to stand as one and say no to the Nigerian Islamist sect, Boko Haram.

In an appeal published Tuesday and signed by its Executive Secretary, Salihou Soulé, he denounced in the strongest terms “the importation of disorder in Cameroon by aliens".

The movement, which encourages interfaith and interreligious dialogue was more convinced that Islam is a religion of peace, dialogue and solidarity and judged the acts by the terrorist group,Boko Haram inexcusable.

The Islamist sect is noted for incredible acts of violence towards the peoples of the northern regions of Cameroon despite a massive deployment of men and logistics in the area.

July 27 in Kolofata (far North), Boko Haram attacked the residence of the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, Amadou Ali.
