Mutilated corpse found in a lake in Bertoua

The body of a young man, later identified to be one Yelem, was recovered from a lake in Bertoua, in the early hours of November 5. Residents who made the horrible discovery found the body of the ill-fated floating in a marsh. They alerted the central police who came to the scene to verify facts.

According to first reports, the deceased lives in the town, Bertoua. Witnesses reported that this man could have suffered acts of violence, before giving up the ghost.

His body bore open and deep wounds in several parts. His executioners after the brutalities threw him into the lake. The body has been sent to the mortuary of the regional hospital of Bertoua. Police are currently investigating the crime.
