Campaign team promises to work with local development groups if voted.
Halil Hassana head of the list for legislative elections in Logone and Chari and Mahamat Allamine Mayo, head of the list for Municipal elections in Goulfey council, have expressed the determination of their party, the National Union for Democracy and Progress (NUDP) to work in collaboration with local development groups in order to transform the Division.
The two candidates spoke to the population and NUDP followers in Makary and Goulfey yesterday, September 24 during two separate rallies, castigating the outgoing administration as having "failed woefully" in the exercise of its duty. "All the four outgoing CPDM Members of Parliament did nothing with their micro-project money", Halil Hassana said promising to discuss such projects with the population before injecting the money into them.
He cautioned the population against taking money which represents the buying of conscience. "They came here and bought you five years ago with FCFA 5000", he said. The two rallies equally served as arena for the NUDP to present its candidates for the September 30 twin elections.
