The promoter of Afrique media and three of its journalists have been summoned to explain "cases of infringement of professional requirements of ethics and professional conduct".

The national communication Council (NCC) is angry with Afrique média's "Director of publication" in this "Pan-African" channel and three of its journalists who are to be convened October 13 at the headquarters of the Government media regulatory body in Cameroon.

Justin Tagouh, Michel Yetna, Hubert Etoundi and Juliana Tadda will be heard in matters concerning the "video, which might constitute cases of infringement of professional requirements of ethics and professional conduct for social communication", mentioned the note signed 30 September by the vice-president of the NCC, the retired journalist, Peter Essoka.

The extracts in question were released on 7, 29, and 30 August and 5 September in the programme, 'Edition Special', ‘Le mérite panafricain’ and ‘Bouquet spécial’, broadcasts by the three panelists.

The NCC will therefore examine this case and by its 'treatment of the complaints' procedure, invite the concerned to prepare (verbally or in writing) their defence arguments concerning the facts which they are charged.

Approached, Justin Tagouh did not wish to talk on the issue. Among other things, the issue related to the CFA which Afrique media think should be dissolved in favour of an African currency; Panelists denounced on this subject on behalf of the BEAC housed at the french Treasury operations and which deprives African countries of several thousand billion for the exclusive benefit of France.

But also the issue of the signing of the EPA, which according to them enshrines the hegemony of the Western economy at the expense of the already fragile economic African fabric, Boko Haram with the supposed role of the countries of the North including France, etc. It had already earned Afrique media its suspension from the Canal Sat.

Whatever it is, "Afrique media does not hide its bias for the Pan-African issues and is a response to the mainstream media, which have the duty of conveying the Western ideology", explained a manager of the Pan-African channel.
