National Day Preparatory Meeting Holds

The event will be launched in Mbankim in Adamawa Region and Bipindi in the South Region on a date yet to be announced.

In less than one month Cameroonians will be celebrating the 42nd edition of the National Day. Ahead of this important event preparations have intensified in the country.

The second preparatory meeting took place in Yaounde on Tuesday April 16, 2013. The objective of the meeting was to evaluate the state of preparedness of the different committees and to make necessary adjustments to ensure hitch-free event.

Speaking during the occasion, the Secretary General in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Joseph Yerima hailed the different committees for the work done so far. The heads of the committees presented reports on their respective states of the preparedness. The Secretary General used the occasion to announce the venue for the launching of this year's event. Mbankim in the Adamawa Region and Bipindi in the South Region have been chosen for the launching of the event on a date to be announced later.

Organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, the meeting brought together authorities of the Centre region, representatives of partner ministries, partner organisations and guests.
